October is Inclusion Month, for this reason, various socialization, awareness, dissemination, and meeting activities have been carried out, organized by the different institutions and organizations that address the subject in the city. In this context, the institutions that make up the Municipal Disability Council held an exhibition of their work this Monday at Plaza 25 de Mayo.
It should be noted that in previous years this type of activity was carried out only during inclusion week; over time it has gradually changed and now everything that is done during the year is shown and shared socially throughout the entire month. "With the support of mayor Alfredo Francolini, we are working hard to ensure that inclusion is transversal to all municipal policies and programs, so that it reaches the entire society. And thanks to the commitment of each of the institutions, today Concordia has changed its perspective a lot, and it is a city with an inclusive perspective", highlighted Primitivo.
For their part, Inés Artusi, director of the Provincial Institute of Disability (IPRODI), participated in the activities and highlighted that “the institutions telling the community what they do is a way of valuing how cities and communities respect and support people with disabilities”.
“What we do as a provincial State and as a Municipal State, is to accompany the change and growth of those institutions with new models, with new tools, and always coordinating between the Nation, Province, and Municipality, using all strategies and with all actors”, added Artusi.
Likewise, within what was planned for the day, a plaque located in a sector of Plaza 25 de Mayo was re-discovered, which the Disability Directorate made in recognition of Professor Susana Pérez Diana, for her great contribution to people with disabilities.
Finally, Marcelo Primitivo announced one of the activities that will take place this Tuesday October 19th in the barrio El Triángulo where “an exhibition of bocce for the blind will be held, on the recently inaugurated bocce court, together with the members of the Association of Blind People of Concordia” (ACICON), commented.
"Were present the Integral Education School No. 25 for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of the city with the Bakery workshops. Also the AIADRES Institution, a recreational sports entity that showed the activities of the workshops they carried out. At the same time, we were visited by the Private Special School No. 20 Cerem, which works with children with cerebral palsy and held recreational games, among other entities", commented in this regard the director of Disability Marcelo Primitivo.
