On Friday morning, the mayor Francisco Azcué was in the Lavardén neighborhood where the sewer network expansion work is being carried out. He was accompanied by the comptroller of the Decentralized Sanitary Works Entity (EDOS) Javier Del Cerro and Mabel Barrios, coordinator of External Financing for the agency.
“We are very enthusiastic that this has been achieved, knowing that there is a certain restriction on public works. Thanks to the efforts made by Mabel Barrios, it has been possible to advance an important project for the area located at the entrance of the city, which will allow for the resolution of a problem for more than 300 residents. This project also allows companies to work, workers to maintain their source of employment, and EDOS to carry out its objective, which is to advance in sanitation works,” indicated Del Cerro.
For her part, Mabel Barrios explained that for the area, “it is a satisfaction to be able to complete this project, which is very important for this part of the neighborhood. An intervention that had already been in the process of being managed and which involves a project that includes 64 household connections, 16 blocks of sewer networks, and which will benefit 300 families. We are one month in and we are already at more than 50% of the project, so we are very happy.”
