After receiving the President of the Nation Mauricio Macri, and delivering the project to promote the citrus juice industry in the region, the mayor Enrique Cresto led a new delivery of land allocation certificates to owners from different neighborhoods, within the framework of the Municipal Program for Property Regularization "Mi Casa". "With this program, we not only restore a right longed for for decades, but we also generate the conditions for families to access more benefits," highlighted the mayor.
In a packed Assembly Hall of the Municipality of Concordia, the mayor Enrique Cresto participated in a new delivery of allocation certificates and property titles within the framework of the Municipal Program for Property Regularization "Mi Casa", which began to be implemented in the current administration and has provided a significant number of responses to the community.
The mayor thanked the city councilors who worked "with great speed" on the project to create the Autonomous Entity of Municipal Housing and Lands that will soon begin to operate. Within the scope of the Entity, "the Municipal Land Bank will operate, which will allow organizing the lands that are in the name of the municipality, knowing which lots exist, and providing responses to the needs of the residents," he commented.
Another of the main lines of work of the Entity will be the Municipal Program for Property Regularization, "because what we want is to ensure that all residents of the neighborhoods have the possibility of having their title or their purchase and sale agreement."
The mayor called for reflection by indicating that with each installment paid by the residents who are being benefited by this program, the Municipality will be in a position to acquire more land and continue with these housing policies that bring peace of mind to the residents but also the certainty that they are being taken care of.
"This is just beginning, we have a great job ahead of us because the housing deficit we have in Concordia is between 15 to 18 thousand homes," of which many demands correspond to young married couples who still live with their families and "need their lot to start building their house."
"What the people asked for"
The Secretary of Public Works and Services Carlos Pasquet stated that "this is an action that we are carrying out and thus we give responses to the residents, who today gain access to being owners of the land of their homes, with all the benefits that this includes," expressing his satisfaction for being part of the execution of these policies that bring direct and concrete response to the community.
When taking the floor, councilor Alberto Zadoyko highlighted the political decision of the mayor Cresto to carry out "this regularization program and that today summons us to a new delivery of titles and allocation certificates," adding that this is what "the people asked for for many years, therefore we must continue working for this Concordia and that there be more and more regularizations."
75 beneficiaries
The Municipal Program for Property Regularization "Mi Casa" is an initiative promoted by the current municipal administration, through which the right to housing is restored to families who for different reasons have not been able to access the final documentation of ownership of the properties despite being rightful owners of them. Through the facilitation of procedures for low-income families, and various efforts before the corresponding agencies according to each case, the possibility is provided for them to access the property title. Starting next month, the program will become one of the main action policies of the new Municipal Institute of Land and Housing.
On this occasion, the beneficiaries live in the neighborhoods Fátima II (19 families), Barrio La Cantera (2 families), Barrio 6 de febrero (1 family), Barrio General Lamadrid (2 families), Barrio Cabo Sendrós (5 families), Barrio José Hernández (46 families).
There were a total of 75 families who accessed having their housing documentation in order.
Accompanying the mayor Cresto were the vice-mayor and president of the Deliberative Council Armando Gay, the Secretary of Government Martín Santana, the Secretary of Public Works and Services Carlos Pasquet, councilor Alberto Zadoyko, Marita Rodríguez from the Land area, and the national deputy (m/c) and advisor to the Executive Cielo Petit, among other officials.
