At the Nueva Vida Church located in the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood and at the Carita Sucia soup kitchen on Próspero Bovino street and Cortada 159, two new sessions of the Primary Health Care program were held, promoted by the administration of mayor Enrique Cresto. The health policy continues to visit different areas of the city to bring medical care closer to residents who are far from healthcare centers.
Through the Extramuro Program, the Municipality focuses care in different neighborhoods of Concordia. Both at the Nueva Vida Church and at the Community Center, residents had the options to complete their vaccination schedule, check height and weight, nutritional status, and access obstetrics and dentistry services.
In this regard, Dr. Blas Seminario Gómez commented that “the novelty is that all professionals work together, that is, in the event of a need for a dentist, nutritionist, obstetrician, or clinical doctors, we can interact to try to resolve different problems of children, adolescents, and adults. Obviously trying to ensure that when there is a person at some risk, the corresponding registration and follow-up of the patient can be carried out".
“We continue to provide services because many of these people do not access appointments at nearby health centers, therefore this service that you saw benefits them greatly” added Gómez.
Finally, the health professional recalled that they are present in areas where there are no nearby health centers, and in case there are, there is high demand. "The northwest is a very extensive area, it is growing and needs an approach like the ones we have been carrying out".
