With the opening of bids for the Roca Project tender, the time is shortening to provide a solution to a significant number of families living in the northwest area of the city who have problems with drinking water supply.
With the presence of mayor Enrique Cresto and the Secretary of Planning, Infrastructure and Services of the Province, Marcelo Richard, the envelopes were opened for the drinking water storage work, alternative stage: pumping, storage, Roca-Concordia aqueduct and connection pipe to the existing one.
This is a joint project between the Municipality of Concordia and the Government of Entre Ríos, whose final investment exceeds 12 million pesos.
In this regard, the Mayor expressed his satisfaction with the articulated work with Governor Gustavo Bordet and his team, as in this case, which is a work “that in a few more months will bring a solution to many neighborhoods in the northwest of Concordia,” adding that “we are talking about bringing 600,000 liters per hour to the water network with repumping and everything that water pressure means in that area, places where drinking water does not reach today or places that suffer from the lack of this vital element during the summer season. The important thing is that we are solving the water problem for about 40 neighborhoods.”
Cresto indicated that “the Municipality is in charge of the drilling and the pumps from where the water will be taken in the Colonia Roca area,” adding that the Province “will be in charge of the aqueducts that will reach a cistern in the Campo El Abasto area,” and what remains is to wait for the work to be awarded and for the work to begin.
The Secretary of Planning, Marcelo Richard, highlighted the importance of this work for Concordia and that it is part of a plan “for both water and sanitation that we are carrying out from the Province in different localities.”
Present at the event were vice-mayor Armando Gay; the Director of Sanitary Works of the Province, Luis Trupiano; the directors of EDOS, Mireya López Bernis and Juan Grigolato; and councilwoman Julia Saenz.
The tender was supervised by the notary public delegated by the Government Notary Office, Mariela Narvais.
The bids submitted correspond to the companies Conkret SA; Coinar SRL; Incar SA; Codi SRL; and O.I.C Sa.
The investment is 12.7 million pesos and establishes an execution period of 180 consecutive days.
