The Secretary of Health Mauro García, together with the Undersecretary of Health Diego Sauré, representing the mayor Enrique Cresto, delivered new uniforms to the staff of SIMES (Municipal Comprehensive Health Emergency Service). On this occasion, they reviewed the work carried out during this administration.
In a working session open to the public at 25 de Mayo square, sthe delivery of uniforms to all service personnel was formalized: ambulance drivers, nurses, radio operators, and drivers of utility health vehicles. Ripstop work pants, t-shirts, parka-style jackets, and safety shoes were the items provided.
In this context, the Secretary of Health Mauro Garcia valued and thanked the work of each of the tworkers of the SIMES and said that this service is unique in its characteristics. “By political decision of the administration of mayor Enrique Cresto, Concordia is the only point in the province that has 19 Health Centers and a Municipal Emergency System that allows for growth in supplies and personnel,” he noted.
It is worth noting that thanks to the efforts and political decisions, the entire city is covered by SIMES, starting from the bases located in five strategic points: South Post (located in Villa Adela, which covers said neighborhood, as well as Benito Legerén, El Martillo, Las Tejas, Old El Martillo, and the section of Route 14 of closest influence) and North Post (located at the Magnasco Health Center, which also covers Villa Zorraquín).
Also, the Center and Green Zone posts (located on the city's Costanera with coverage throughout the Sports Field, Costanera, and Health Centers: Nebel, Barrio Nebel, San Agustín, and Parque Río Uruguay) and the Post in the Perilago/Airport area (which, in addition to providing health coverage to its area of influence, serves the numerous construction personnel of the New Airport, the Border Crossing, and the Perilago). Each post has an area of influence to provide an almost immediate response to a potential emergency in their respective points, shortening arrival times.
“We work in health, we live for health, it is what we like, and being able to transfer it to these areas of the State, in this case a Municipal State, is very important. Our Mayor allowed us to work on the proposals that we brought to him; we were able to carry out and advance most of them. This is one of them, where we show that the State can have an efficient service,” remarked García, and said that “before, the Municipality paid a private party for this service, and now we have a model service that is unique in the province,” he valued.
Finally, the Undersecretary of Health Diego Sauré commented that “today we are the example of the Emergency Service in the province. We have been professionalizing the system, we were able to add nurses, drivers, and grow the number of bases; today we have five bases. This is the path, and I hope it can be sustained with this great group of people we work with”, concluded.
