In the final stretch before the start of the Concordia Carnival, the Emperatriz samba school presented its figures, the new samba enredo, and the story they will tell upon stepping onto the track of the “Atanasio Bonfiglio” corsodrome during the six nights of the 2019 carnival.
During the evening held at a well-known club in the city, the new figures that Emperatriz will have for the 2019 Carnival were presented. Florencia Stanghelini handed over the samba school's crown to her successor, Carolina Panozzo Zénere, the new sovereign of the green and white.
Regarding the theme chosen for this new edition of the greatest summer festival, the Social, Cultural and Sports Association "Emperatriz" explained that the green and white will seek to invade the senses of all spectators with a strong scenic action marked by the passion of samba and a musical style unique to the group.
In 2006, the green and white group participated for the first time in the Concordia carnival with a production called “Emperatriz conquers the carnival,” and thirteen years later they will show “Emperatriz conquers your senses,” alluding to the five senses that all human beings have and that develop throughout life.
After the presentation of the figures, and closing the night, the samba school's musicians together with Batería TNT presented the new samba enredo that the carnival group will sing on the parade nights starting Saturday, January 19.
