Since August they have been preparing to fill the city's neighborhoods with rhythm, joy, and color. The Pequeños Duendes will begin parading through the neighborhoods this Friday, January 25th, at 8:00 PM in the Centenario neighborhood. Together with the main Carnival and the Popular Carnival, the Pequeños Duendes turn the city into the capital of ccarnivals.
Sonia Albornos, coordinator of Neighborhood Workshops and Cultural Events for the Municipality, pointed out that “we are very anxious, waiting for the day so that our children, who have been preparing for a long time, can show everything that representing their neighborhoods and the children's carnival means to them.".
"Together with Marcelo Cresto and all the support from the Sports Secretariat team, we have been working intensely so that each of the children's troupes can show the best of themselves," said Albornos, and highlighted that "the Pequeños Duendes Carnival is a phenomenon of social inclusion and cultural expression, which faithfully represents the work axes of the administration of mayor Enrique Cresto, bringing the State closer to every resident and to all neighborhoods".
The 9 troupes that will parade this Friday are: Su Comparsita, Corazones Unidos, Burbujitas, El Gigante Dorado, Favela Do Samba, Los Galanes del Pompeya, Luna Brillante, Capullito, Los Cabezones y sus amigos más Transformers. “The second parade of the Pequeños Duendes will take place on Sunday the 27th at 8:00 PM in the Tiro Federal neighborhood along Avenida Chacabuco; in total, there are 18 troupes participating in this new edition and we want everyone to be able to join this unique celebration that the city has,” invited Sonia Albornos.
