At the Community Integration Center in the Los Pájaros neighborhood, staff from the Health Secretariat brought a vaccination campaign for all ages to the residents. The initiative is part of a joint epidemiological surveillance strategy at the Mercosur level with the goal of promoting “healthy and safe borders”.
In accordance with the planning defined by the Health team in conjunction with Mayor Enrique Cresto, the vaccinators were administering vaccines corresponding to the mandatory national schedule and COVID-19 at the CIC in the Los Pájaros neighborhood.
This activity aims to increase immunization levels so that residents have the possibility of completing their vaccination schedules free of charge. “We need all residents to be able to complete their vaccination schedule as a precaution. This operation was set up and will be replicated in different neighborhoods during the week with the goal of vaccinating as many people as possible, whether children, adults, or the elderly,” explained Melina Simonetti, from the Primary Health Care Directorate.
In this regard, on Wednesday, October 4, another session will be held at the NIDO (Nucleus for Inclusion and Development of Opportunities) in the Carretera La Cruz neighborhood and on Friday the 6th at the “Néstor Kirchner” Community Integration Center in the Sarmiento neighborhood (Former Víctor Oppel site).
It should be noted that these sessions are carried out based on the involvement of Concordia as a border city in a Mercosur-level strategy with the aim of recovering coverage and overdue schedules. In this sense, the population is invited to come and complete the missing applications.
