This Friday, the Free Vaccination Day for people over 60 years old was held at the Labor Training Room of the Civic Center of Concordia. The activity was organized by the Department of Senior Citizen Policies, in coordination with the Undersecretariat of Development and Entrepreneurship and the Health Secretariat of the Municipality of Concordia.
Flu, pneumococcal, and COVID-19 vaccines were administered, with the aim of strengthening prevention in one of the most vulnerable populations.
The day was coordinated by Nursing Graduate Melina Simonetti, head of the Municipal Epidemiological Node for Immunizations, who stated: “These actions are fundamental to taking care of the health of our senior citizens. Vaccination not only prevents serious illnesses, but it is also a tool for inclusion and the presence of the State in the neighborhoods. We deeply thank every person who came today and the health team for their commitment.”
The municipality highlighted the importance of continuing to promote accessible and free public health campaigns, with an emphasis on prevention and community support. The turnout exceeded expectations, and new sessions are being planned for the coming months.
