Mayor Enrique Cresto received the members of the Peña La Tortuga, organizers of the XXVI National Boga Fishing Festival, which will take place on February 3rd and 4th. Arturo Cabrera, president of the Peña, and Hernán Fuerte, treasurer of the entity, highlighted the municipality's support for the "most important fishing festival in the province and one of the most important in the littoral region".
"Mayor Cresto has been supporting the organization from the very first moment, which is why we met with him and the Secretary of Government and Tourism, Alfredo Francolini, to plan how the event will be and to finalize some details," said Fuerte at the end of the meeting.
"On Wednesday, January 31st, we will hold the press conference at the Civic Center, where we will show all the news and the important prizes we will have. It is the edition with the most important prizes," highlighted Fuerte. "Raffling a 0km car and giving away 5 boats to the first five places, and the first two are motorboats, is very important. In addition, there is a 0km motorcycle, and many more prizes, up to the tenth place," he detailed.
"Today we have already exceeded 160 pre-registered boats," he specified, which anticipates a successful edition, given that the largest number of registrations takes place on the weekend of the Festival. He added that "the kayak tournament is another attraction, as well as the mojarrita fishing, where in addition to the prizes for the first ten children, bicycles will be raffled off".
Cabrera and Fuerte highlighted the support of the Mayor who "through different areas of the municipality, such as Sports, Culture, Events, Public Works, Tourism, are collaborating," he said. And he referred especially to the repairs that are being carried out on the access road to La Tortuga. "It is one of the most frequented at this time, today there are many people camping at the campsite. And the repair of the road is one of the priorities set by the Mayor. This Monday the machines already started working and today the improvement is already noticeable," highlighted Fuertes. "Between now and the Boga Festival they will leave it in perfect condition," he added.
