The Secretary of Health, Mauro García, and the Director of Primary Health Care, Ana Paula Vila, formalized this Monday the presentation of the recovery and enhancement works carried out at the San Agustín neighborhood Health Center, by order of the mayor Enrique Cresto.
The activity was attended by the Vice President of the Deliberative Council Claudia Villalba; councilors Juan Domingo Gallo, Gastón Etchepare, Cristina Guitar, Daniel Cedro, the President of the CONASED Foundation Leticia Ponzinibbio; Dr. Héctor Strassera; the municipality's technical health team and social leaders from the San Agustín neighborhood.
“This is the enhancement of Health Center No. 11 in Concordia, which was achieved after a political decision by Mayor Enrique Cresto to allocate resources to enhance all these spaces,” commented the Secretary of Health Mauro García. Furthermore, he indicated that “there is constant work to strengthen primary health care networks and a strong presence in the territory, with a comprehensive maintenance program and neighborhood operations every week.”
At the same time, he said that “the Municipality of Concordia is the only one in the province of Entre Ríos that has 19 health providers fully managed by the municipality. Although there are provincial reference centers that are very important, what we emphasize a lot is improving primary care through these providers, which are our municipal ones, where we allocate training for the people who are on-site and we try to bring the best professionals who want to provide primary care.”
For her part, the Director of Primary Care Ana Paula Vila expressed that “the work done in these spaces is very good. People defend the Health Centers a lot and are very happy when these advances are made that benefit the residents and the neighborhood. The professionals deserve to work in a comfortable, clean, and orderly place.”
Currently, the San Agustín neighborhood Health Center offers services in: pediatrics, dentistry, obstetrics, nutrition, clinical medicine, gynecology, kinesiology, and nursing for the residents of the neighborhood and surrounding areas. Administrative hours for appointments are Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In this line, it is important to note that during the current administration, the Health Secretariat of the Municipality of Concordia carried out works in the CAPS and is currently carrying out remodeling in different offices where residents are served on a daily basis. Likewise, through the SUMAR PLAN, the equipment of all Health Centers has been achieved, and with the realization of comprehensive approaches in different neighborhoods and the implementation of the Extramural Program, joint actions of different medical specialties were developed free of charge. The activities include talks, training, nutritional, dental, pediatric, obstetric, and clinical check-ups.
Finally, Dr. Héctor Strassera valued the work that was done and thanked the work that has been carried out in the current administration regarding health policies. “This is a comfortable space to be able to carry out the health tasks that are developed here. It has a multidisciplinary health team that is within reach of all people. They work very well and now with these reforms it will be much more comfortable. This center is a reference for the city.”
With this work completed, there are now 11 Health Centers that have been enhanced. The one in the San Agustín neighborhood joins the Health Centers in the neighborhoods of: San Pantaleón, Villa Adela, Benito Legeren, Leoncio de Luque, Los Pájaros, Camba Paso, San Miguel, Zona Norte, and Jesús Nazareno.
