In compliance with Ordinance No. 38,186, which established the creation of the Air Commercial Development Entity of the Concordia Airport (E.D.A.A.C.), and taking into account that the completion stage of the “Design, Construction and Readaptation of the Comodoro Juan José Pierrestegui Airport” project is approaching, Mayor Francisco Azcué appointed Engineer Federico Schattenhofer as President of the Board, a position he has held since this March 1st of the current year.
Schattenhofer, current Secretary of Productive Development of the Municipality of Concordia, has a solid background in the technical and management fields. He is an Electrical Engineer, a Professor for Secondary and Higher Education in Industrial Disciplines, and holds postgraduate degrees in Small and Medium Enterprise Management and Electric Market Administration, in addition to a Master's degree in Public Policy. From his new role, which he will perform ad honorem, Schattenhofer will have the responsibility of legally representing the Entity, supervising its operations, and ensuring compliance with current contracts and regulations. His appointment takes on special relevance at this stage, in which the airport is close to the completion of its modernization and readaptation work, with the goal of consolidating itself as a key node for regional connectivity and growth.
Together with Schattenhofer, Ricardo Jesús Claro was appointed as Vice President of the Entity, who will also perform his duties without receiving remuneration. Claro has vast experience in commercial aviation and aeronautical management. An Airline Transport Pilot with more than 6,200 flight hours, he has held key roles in the operation and training of pilots. In addition, he serves as General Director of Civil Aviation of the Government of Entre Ríos, consolidating his knowledge in the administration of the sector.
Likewise, the Higher Technician specialized in Transport Gabriel Di Lauro will assume the position of Head of Operations of the “Comodoro Juan José Pierrestegui” Airport, continuing his work on the project since its inception. With expertise in Operational Safety at Airports, wildlife control, pavement management, and other specialties of the activity, he has experience in companies in the tourism, transport, and airline sectors in South Africa, Uruguay and Europe.
With these appointments, the Air Commercial Development Entity begins a new stage oriented towards strategic planning for the economic and productive development of Concordia and the region.
