The Concordia Carnival had a successful opening night, with a large public turnout at the “Atanasio Bonfiglio” Corsódromo, in a start that had not seen this level of attendance in many years.
Regarding organization, the implementation of the new access via Teniente Ibáñez street stood out, which allowed for a more agile entry to the venue, as well as the correct functioning of the QR code ticket system, a tool that was well received by the public. The organization reported that they will continue working and adjusting this system to further improve the entry experience.
It should be noted that all entrances to the Corsódromo are opened starting at 8:00 PM, so that the public can enter calmly, occupy their seats, and wait comfortably for the start of the show.
Although measures were applied at the entrances on Mendiburu and Própero Bovino during this first night, for the second night, next Saturday, January 31, it is planned to expand and optimize these entrances to make them even more practical for residents and tourists.
The director of the Permanent Carnival Entity, Dr. Luis Sánchez, stated: “We are very satisfied with this start, both for the public's response and for the functioning of the new entrances and the QR system. We will continue working night after night to improve every detail.”
The comparsas began the 2026 Carnival with a preparation level of over 95%, demonstrating the enormous work carried out throughout the year by carnival participants, float builders, dance troupes, and queens.
The organization especially thanked the residents, tourists, and carnival participants for bringing this great popular festival to life, and invited everyone to follow all the news through the official social media channels. The Concordia Carnival, the most passionate in the country, is now underway.
