During this morning, Mayor Francisco Azcué led a meeting of the Concordia InterMunicipal Consortium, where a common agenda was worked on with the municipal leaders who comprise it, with productive and tourism development as two of the main points addressed.
The mayor of Los Charrúas, Andrea Imoberdoff; the mayor of Estancia Grande, Pablo Goldín; the mayor of Colonia Ayuí, José Marticorena; the mayor of Puerto Yeruá, Daniel Benítez; and the mayor of La Criolla, Ariel Stucker, were present.
After the meeting, Azcué highlighted that the objective is to “work on the articulated reform on the common points that the localities that make up the department have and on those particularities that require joint work from us”.
Production and tourism are two transversal axes for each Mayor's Office “and we know that when we come together and manage united, we strengthen ourselves, the results are different and it makes us more efficient,” maintained Azcué, who also highlighted “the good dialogue and predisposition that we have among the mayors to achieve it”.
For his part, Mayor Goldín stressed that it was a “very productive” meeting, “for which we are very grateful among the mayors who make up this table because we will surely generate positive things for our municipalities”.
Mayor Marticorena anticipated that the idea is to continue with these meetings “because in each locality we have an agenda with something different to offer and we also have diverse needs,” to which Mayor Imoberdoff added that what is sought is “to join efforts to achieve good things for the department”.
Finally, Mayor Benítez pointed out that “what we are looking for is an agenda that is superior, not to remain in complaint but to try to solve problems and also to place production and tourism as two main topics, given that in that we all have many things to offer”.
