In the framework of the commemorative activities for the May Revolution, the Department of Senior Citizen Policies of the Municipality of Concordia invites you to participate in a new edition of the Alternative Games for Senior Citizens, which will take place next Saturday, June 7, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the premises adjacent to Costa Ciencias.
The event, which had to be suspended the previous week due to weather conditions, will feature the participation of the La Bianca Retirees and Pensioners Center and the Stella Maris Retirees Center from the Nebel neighborhood, and will be coordinated by Professor Miguel Pérez Saipe, a national Physical Education teacher with experience in recreational and play-based proposals for senior citizens.
This is a recreational proposal designed to share games, physical activity, snacks, and raffles, in an environment of celebration, community participation, and appreciation of the senior stage of life.
The Department of Senior Citizen Policies especially invites residents and the various retirees' centers in the city to attend and join this activity, designed to be enjoyed as a community, to celebrate the national holiday, and to promote comprehensive well-being.
The head of the area, Gladys Portugal, highlighted: “These initiatives allow for the creation of spaces for meeting, exercise, and well-being, where an active life, camaraderie, and social inclusion of older people are promoted, reinforcing their role in community life.”
The municipal administration continues to work to foster active aging, access to healthy activities, and the strengthening of community networks that care for and value our senior citizens.
