On Wednesday afternoon, the Municipality of Concordia proceeded with the recovery of the Waste Transfer Plant located in the Ex Aeroclub neighborhood, which was being illegally occupied by the MTE.
Although the loan agreement signed at the time by the Municipality of Concordia with the Mundo Reciclado Work Cooperative had expired a year and a half ago, members of the workers' movement continued to make use of the facilities.
The repossession was carried out through the Undersecretariat of Citizen Security and the Concordia Police Headquarters, notifying the cooperative representatives present at the site about the expiration of the duly signed loan agreement.
"As was done at the time with the Campo El Abasto, we have been working from this administration on the elimination of intermediaries who only pursue private objectives," remarked the Secretary of Government, Luciano Dell’Olio, and clarified, "we will continue working with the recycling sectors but directly, seeking to improve the operation of the plant and the conditions for which it was built.”
The operation involved the Undersecretary of Security, Claudio Purgart, Public Notary Alexia Demarco, with the support of the Entre Ríos Police represented by the Departmental Deputy Chief Commissioner Liliana Miño, Chief of Operations Commissioner Inspector Barboza, Chief of the First Police Station, other police personnel, and the duty shift of this Operational Unit, Motorized Section and Mobile Unit S10.
