Animal-drawn traction
In a joint procedure between the Traffic Center and the Police of Entre Ríos, the Municipality of Concordia, in compliance with current ordinances, proceeded to seize a cart and the respective equine pulling it, as it was traveling on public roads with a load that overexerted the animal. A fine was issued to the owner.
In this regard, Walter Báez, from the Traffic Center, explained that the procedure was carried out on Brown Street, in the city's downtown area, when they were alerted by residents to the presence of a person with a cart and a horse, which was pulling a heavy load.
“The equine and the cart were seized because it was clearly visible that it was carrying a very heavy load that the animal could not handle,” explained the official, who also indicated that the corresponding fine was issued to the owner.
“The mayor Enrique Cresto has been very clear in this process of eradicating animal-drawn traction in Concordia. Work is being done to eliminate it progressively and this must be understood by the people who carry out this activity, with whom we hold meetings in which different areas of the Municipality participate,” as well as representatives of various institutions.
