Through the Public Space Sponsorship Program, the company will collaborate with the maintenance, cleaning, and enhancement of the Linear Park located on Rucci Avenue. The initiative promotes joint work between the public and private sectors to care for the spaces that residents enjoy.
The Municipality of Concordia and the company EGGER Argentina signed a sponsorship agreement to collaborate with the maintenance, conservation, and enhancement of the Linear Park located on José Ignacio Rucci Avenue, in front of the firm's industrial facility.
The agreement is framed within the Public Space Sponsorship Program, created through Ordinance No. 38,468, a tool that seeks to promote the participation of the private sector in the care and improvement of the city's common spaces, based on joint work with the Municipal State.
Through this agreement, EGGER will collaborate voluntarily and at no cost to the Municipality in tasks of cleaning roads, curbs, and gutters, maintenance of green areas, and road signage, in addition to afforestation and reforestation actions, in accordance with the technical guidelines and corresponding approvals of the municipal areas.
In this regard, Mayor Francisco Azcué highlighted the importance of generating cooperation mechanisms that allow for the improvement of the spaces used by the people of Concordia: “We want a more orderly, clean, and enjoyable city. This type of initiative allows us to join efforts, take advantage of the private sector's commitment, and generate concrete improvements in the places that belong to everyone. Public-private articulation is not just a concept; it must translate into actions that improve people's quality of life.”
For their part, EGGER highlighted the importance of supporting initiatives that contribute to the care of the environment and the development of the community of which the company is a part.
The agreement establishes that the tasks will be in charge of EGGER, while the Municipality will retain the administration, supervision, and control of the public space, guaranteeing at all times its free and open use to the entire community.
The agreement will have an initial duration of two years and contemplates the possibility of extension.
With this type of initiative, the Municipality continues to promote participation and cooperation tools that allow for the addition of resources and commitments to care for, recover, and enhance public spaces, understanding that building a better city is a task that involves everyone.
