The Secretary of Culture of the Province of Entre Ríos, Julián Stoppello, visited the city of Concordia, where he was received by the Mayor, Dr. Francisco Azcué, and the Undersecretary of Culture of the Municipality, Prof. Carlos Gatto. The meeting focused on the joint work between the Province and the Municipality regarding various cultural programs and proposals, with a notable announcement: the hosting of the Provincial Book Fair in our city.
Mayor Francisco Azcué highlighted the relevance of the meeting: “From the first day of our administration, we have proposed a city where culture is accessible to everyone and serves as a tool for social transformation. The visit of Secretary Stoppello and this joint work with the Province allows us to move forward with concrete projects, such as this Book Fair, which, in addition to being a cultural and educational event, will be an opportunity to showcase local talent, boost the publishing industry, and strengthen the identity of Concordia.”
“It was a pleasure to meet with Azcué and Gatto and advance several projects that we have been planning together between the Provincial Secretariat of Culture and the Municipality of Concordia. One of the main focuses was to begin outlining what will be a Provincial Book Fair organized in a coordinated manner,” Stoppello expressed after the meeting. He added: “This joint work with the municipalities, with a federal perspective, is in line with the direction set by the administration of Governor Rogelio Frigerio and the Minister of Government and Labor, Manuel Troncoso.”
For his part, Prof. Gatto remarked: “It has been a very important day for our city, because we are receiving the Secretary of Culture of our province, with important news and announcements for Concordia. As he anticipated, we are beginning the organization of this Provincial Book Fair, which would take place in September at the Convention Center. It is an event that the Municipality of Concordia, together with the Province, will promote with all our energy so that it is truly significant.”
During the meeting, there was also a discussion regarding future efforts linked to cultural programs that seek to promote access to culture throughout the community, with special attention to childhood, youth, and artistic training spaces.
This visit consolidates the path of coordination between the Provincial Secretariat of Culture and the Undersecretariat of Culture of Concordia, with the objective of strengthening public policies in our city.
