This Friday, Mayor Francisco Azcué led an expanded cabinet meeting where the central axes were the organic reform, approved unanimously by the Deliberative Council, and the budget for the year 2026.
It was highlighted that the modifications made are part of the deepening of a transformation of the municipal state already initiated, which now increase and transcend a mere administrative restructuring, but rather constitute a decisive step towards a more efficient, modern municipality that is closer to the residents of Concordia.
“This represents a necessary organizational reordering to optimize the use of public resources, strengthen transparency, and guarantee a more professionalized, equitable, and participatory management,” stated the Secretary of Cabinet Coordination and Treasury, Pablo Ferreyra.
CORE OBJECTIVES PROPOSED
Regarding the core objectives proposed based on the new organic structure, they are as follows:
Administrative modernization: to advance towards an innovative management model, with technological incorporation, greater coordination between areas, and sustainability criteria in the formulation of public policies. This will allow for the reduction of bureaucracy, the streamlining of procedures, and the consolidation of a more direct link with the citizenry.
Optimization of resources and investments: to prioritize areas with the greatest social impact, such as basic infrastructure, urbanization, and essential services. A better distribution of resources will allow for greater territorial equity and will favor the balanced growth of the entire city.
Streamlining of processes and decision-making: to avoid duplication of functions, strengthen the responsibility of each area, and ensure greater transparency. This reduces costs and promotes more orderly and efficient management.
2026 MANAGEMENT
Ferreyra maintained that “these are political decisions that are framed within the government planning and respond to the management axes for 2026,” anticipating that the budget project for the next year will be presented to the Deliberative Council during the current month.
For his part, Mayor Azcué specified that during the coming year “the priority axis of the administration will be investment in public works and the improvement of the services provided by the Municipality. We want an orderly, efficient, and modern municipality so that the changes are noticeable in the city and in the quality of life of the residents.”
