The meeting, held in the Mayors' Hall of the Municipality of Concordia, was attended by the head of the Undersecretariat for Women of the province of Entre Ríos, Tatiana Richardet, the coordinator of the “Acercar Derechos” program of the National Ministry of Women, Genders and Diversity, Carolina Fontana, and the municipal director of Preventive Management and Promotion, Bernardita Zalisñak. During the meeting, various representatives of local organizations received tablets to be used in their daily tasks.
“Tejiendo Matria” is a National Registry of Promoters that brings together all individuals, women, and dissidents in the territories who provide support in situations of violence, as well as territorial promoters of gender and diversity. “In this context, the people who belong to this registry, within the “Conectadas por la Democracia” program, were part of a delivery of technological devices (tablets) with two objectives: to provide the resource and facilitate the work that the promoters have been carrying out in the territory since the pandemic, and also to bridge the digital gap between men and women,” noted Tatiana Richardet.
After the meeting, Carolina Fontana pointed out that this is one more example of a public policy coming from the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity, which is a Ministry that has always vindicated all feminist struggles. “The Ministry has been a product of the collective struggle of women, so this is an example of that public policy”
Regarding the activity, she indicated that on this occasion, what was achieved was contact with organizations, promoters of social organizations, gender collectives, unions, and neighborhood commissions, “where a work of years is seen here, which luckily finds us all together, representatives from the Nation, province, and municipality, working for these policies, which in reality are policies for equality, so that women have that place for which we have fought so hard in history,” she reflected.
Explaining that in this local instance, 47 devices were delivered “just as they have been delivered throughout the province and will continue to be delivered to all promoters who continue to be registered in “Tejiendo Matria”
For her part, Bernardita Zalisñak, representative of the municipal area that works for women's rights and gender equality, maintained “that it is always positive and enriching to share a moment with Carolina Fontana from the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity, within the framework of the “Acercar Derechos” program. A plan that has territorial insertion in our province. And also with Tatiana, who has always been present in the territory. This is a meeting to celebrate, because women are becoming empowered because the territorial promoters of “Tejiendo Matria” are going to fulfill a very important social function, which they have already been doing, but it is important to recognize it. So, the truth is that it is a joy”
“TEJIENDO MATRIA”
It is a program that was created with the purpose of articulating a National Network of Territorial Promoters in matters of gender and diversity at the community level, in conjunction with provincial and municipal agencies with competence in the matter and with civil society organizations.
The registry allows for the coordination with registered individuals of the different policies for the prevention and eradication of gender-based violence and the policies of equality and diversity that we carry out. In addition, it is oriented towards providing different tools for the continuous training and capacity building of those who register.
