In a working meeting, the Director of Disability and Rehabilitation of the Municipality of Concordia, Valeria Sciammarella, formally informed the representative of the Urban Passenger Transport Chamber, Daniel Lapalma, about the extension of the validity of the CUD (Single Disability Certificate) so that service users do not face difficulties when using transport services in the city.
For this reason, the official highlighted the need for all drivers to know in detail Resolution No. 186/2023, approved in February 2023, which indicates that current CUDs expiring in 2023 are valid for one more year. For example: if it expires in October 2023, it will be valid until October 2024.
Furthermore, information was also provided regarding the new format of the CUD, as it was previously printed on security paper and now it is not, since it has been digitized and can be accessed through the Mi Argentina application.
“It was a very fruitful meeting, as we were also informed by the Urban Transport Chamber about the implementation of the SUBE card to improve the service for people with disabilities in the city,” the official noted.
For his part, Daniel Lapalma explained that, in a meeting held with the head of the Transport Department, Sebastián Gotte, they learned that the Municipality is very close to implementing the use of the SUBE card for people with disabilities, oncology patients, and transplant patients (users who until now did not have a Disability Certificate).
“That facilitates everything, both for the passenger and the driver. Because from now on, they would not have to certify or present any extra documentation, but only use the card where the benefit is registered.”
DRIVER TRAINING
Within the framework of the working meeting, it was also addressed, among other topics, to implement a training cycle for drivers. “We are willing to participate in them to learn and train ourselves in order to provide the best service to the community,” stated Lapalma.
