This Tuesday, organized by the Undersecretariat of Environment of the Municipality of Concordia, the closing ceremony of the “Sustainable Schools Network 2025” program was held, in which more than 3000 students from different educational institutions in the city participated.
The objective is for schools to promote sustainable actions such as recycling, composting, and tree planting, while providing them with a space to share environmental experiences and projects.
The Secretary of Public Services Alejandro López highlighted the commitment of all those who participated throughout the year and thanked the various schools that opened their classrooms for students to be a part of it. “These awareness, environmental care, recycling, and habit-forming activities are important. As a State, we have responsibilities, but the community in general must also do its part because we live in the city that we ourselves are creating”.
The Undersecretary of Environment Joaquín Gobetto maintained that “caring for the environment is transversal to everyone, so we are grateful to the teachers and professors who commit themselves day by day to the children's education”.
Finally, the Director of Environmental Education Constanza Montoreano stated that “this year we worked with a clear objective: to raise awareness so that what is learned in school is replicated in families. Caring for the environment is a shared task, it is key to the future of Concordia”, which is why one of the objectives was to reinforce “simple habits to be transformers because they start at home but when they multiply, the impact is enormous”.
The institutions that participated were the following: Nº32 “Nuestra Señora del Silencio”; Nº31 “Benito Juárez”; Nº22 “Madre Patria”; Nº218 “La Viña”; CDI “Miguitas de Amor”; Nº44 “Mariano Moreno”; Nº90 “El Principito”; Nº30 “María Elena Walsh”; Nº76 “María Teresa de Calcuta”; Nº177 “Jirafa Azul”; Nº3 “Domingo Sarmiento”; Nº51 “Felipe Gardell”; Nº20 “Simón Bolívar”; Nº58 “Sagrada Familia”; Nº10 “República de Entre Ríos”; Nº8 “Augusto Niez”; Nº73 “Pancho Ramírez”; Nº36 “Juana Manso”; D-196 “San Francisco”; Nº25 “Nuestra Madre de la Merced”; Nº4 “Lavardén”; D-28 “Mitre”; Nº28 “Esteban Echeverría”, Nº 152 Escuela Agrotécnica “Manuel María Calderón”; Nº6 “General San Martín”.
