A new territorial operation was deployed at the Convention Center with the purpose of delivering the Mandatory Medical Certificate (CMO) to people with disabilities, a document with which they can initiate the procedure for pensions. The approach was carried out by the Disability Directorate, which reports to the Health Secretariat.
Within the framework of the public health policies carried out by the administration of mayor Enrique Cresto, the operation was held, in which the Secretary of Health Mauro García, the Director of Disability Marcelo Primitivo, and technical teams from the Municipality of Concordia and ANSES participated.
“So far in this administration, and thanks to the agreement promoted by mayor Enrique Cresto with the National Disability Agency (ANDIS), more than 2000 people from Concordia and the department have accessed this procedure, which is essential to improve their personal situation,” said the Director of Disability Marcelo Primitivo.
He added that after this effort, “work began on the PROMAR to streamline procedures and ensure that people can do everything in one place, especially when they are people with disabilities or older adults who find it difficult to move around to different places.” He also mentioned that the CMO is the first documentation to initiate the procedure before ANSES (to obtain non-contributory disability pensions).
When asked about the activity, Dr. Mauro García remarked that “the delivery of these certificates is a benefit not only for the citizens of Concordia, but also for all the residents of the Department. Achieving a new imprint that has been given to the Disability Directorate, since through these approaches it is possible, in agreement with the National Disability Agency, to give people the possibility to process their mandatory medical certificates free of charge.”
“This is an agreement that mayor Enrique Cresto made in due course with the officials of the agency at the national level, and which we were able to coordinate in the city through the Disability Directorate. We have been working for more than a year, providing a resource that was previously issued at the provincial level by the Felipe Heras Hospital. Today we have prepared more than 80 medical certificates, streamlining this type of documentation that previously took a quite long time,” concluded the official.
