Clean slate
Following a series of meetings and consultations with members of the Carnival Entity and various social actors linked to this festival, the mayor Enrique Cresto decided to dissolve the current directive composition of the Entity and begin a reorganization phase that allows for a different design of this body's constitution, in order to enhance and improve its scope and functioning.
In this context, those who held positions of responsibility in the Entity will offer their formal resignations to facilitate this reconfiguration process of the organization that is in charge of launching one of the most important popular festivals every year.
In the talks held these days, the Mayor congratulated the leadership of the Entity and its members for the success achieved in the last editions of the Carnival and thanked them for the commitment and effort shown in the tasks entrusted.
“There is no doubt that the Carnival continues to grow. The last edition marked excellent levels regarding key aspects such as resource management, organization, logistics, number of spectators, security, the presentation of the comparsas and other items that in the final balance clearly speak of a festival that today has an enormous possibility for growth,” highlighted Cresto.
“Precisely, this situation indicates that we are at the right moment to deepen what was done well, change what needs to be changed, take advantage of the experience of those who assumed greater responsibilities in the last editions and promote, from a new composition of the Entity, the active participation of all those who are related in one way or another to this festival, so that together we can achieve the definitive takeoff of the Carnival of Concordia,” concluded the Mayor.
