At the Convention Center, a meeting of the CIVERCON (Green Belt of Concordia) working group was held, with the objective of advancing common policies that favor the productive development of the region.
The meeting, led by Mayor Francisco Azcué, brought together municipal and provincial authorities, representatives of institutions, universities, and actors from the private sector linked to fruit and vegetable production in the Concordia department.
Azcué highlighted the importance of joint efforts and the potential of the regional productive sector: “It is important to have continuity in issues that concern producers and our entire area, as we have enormous potential, with sectors, mainly private, that have been generating high-quality products for years. Now we need the State to be a facilitator and support that growth”.
Regarding the meeting, the mayor of Concordia stated that they worked on specific issues such as tax aspects, energy, production costs, and commercialization chains, among others.
“The presence of the Provincial State at this table is important since many of these issues directly relate the Municipalities with the Province. We plan to continue with the meetings, if possible once a month, and for the next one, everyone took an agenda on which they committed to work”, emphasized Azcué.
For her part, the Secretary of Commerce, Mining and Entrepreneurial Development of Entre Ríos, Noelia Zapata, pointed out that “the workday was very productive, with an important diversity of representatives and associations that have great experience and trajectory. These local productive chains allow for development and differentiation for the consumer, who increasingly seeks to know the origin and traceability of what they consume”.
Andrea Imoberdorff, mayor of Los Charrúas, highlighted the importance of joint work between municipalities “where we come together to dialogue, listen, and seek solutions that generate concrete responses for our communities”.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Puerto Yeruá, Daniel Benítez, maintained that “if we work in an articulated manner between all the localities of the department, we will strengthen each project where the support of the Province is fundamental to access different lines and public policies that can be key for producers”.
