Within the framework of comprehensive care and health promotion policies for older adults, a new Free Vaccination Day for those over 60 will be held next Friday, July 4th, on the first floor of the Civic Center of Concordia (Mitre and Pellegrini), from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The initiative is organized by the Department of Senior Citizen Policies, under the Undersecretariat of Development and Entrepreneurship, in coordination with the Health Secretariat of the Municipality of Concordia.
During the day, tetanus, pneumococcal, and COVID-19 vaccines will be administered as part of the prevention campaigns promoted by the municipal health system.
The activity will be coordinated by Nursing Graduate Melina Simonetti, representative of the Municipal Epidemiological Node for Immunizations, who will be in charge of ensuring the proper development of the health event.
“From our Department, we understand that health is a right and vaccination is a fundamental tool to care for our older adults. That is why we work together with the Health area to provide these services in an accessible and free manner,” stated Gladys Portugal, Head of the Department of Senior Citizen Policies.
The Municipality invites all people over 60 years of age to come with their DNI and vaccination record, if they have one, to receive the corresponding immunizations free of charge.
