A NEW CONTINGENT OF “OPERATION MIRACLE” HAS DEPARTED
Within the framework of the agreement signed between the Municipality of Concordia and the "Un Mundo Mejor Es Posible" (UMMEP) Foundation based in the city of Córdoba, a new contingent of patients has departed to undergo cataract and pterygium surgeries through the "Operation Miracle" program, which aims to perform ophthalmological surgeries for low-income citizens, with expenses (transport, accommodation, and surgery) shared by the local municipality and the UMMEP Foundation.
Six patients, two nurses, and two drivers are the members of the group that departed from the headquarters of the Secretariat of Human Development, Health and Environment (R. S. Peña No. 229) on Tuesday, October 18, shortly after 9 a.m.
So far this year, 17 cataract and pterygium surgeries have been performed within the framework of the agreement signed by Dr. Enrique Tomás Cresto and the UMMEP foundation; these interventions are intended for patients without health insurance who do not have the resources to cover such procedures.
Those who wish to obtain more information on how to participate in this program can visit the headquarters of the Undersecretariat of Health (Roque Sáenz Peña No. 229 -Former Railway Polyclinic-) from Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.
