The third night of the Concordia Carnival confirmed a successful edition of the greatest summer festival currently underway. Once again, the "Atanasio Bonfiglio" Corsodromo was filled with spectators, and the comparsas made the entire audience dance on a night where the weather contributed to making it a celebration.
Mayor Alfredo Francolini, provincial senator Armando Gay, the director of the Casa de Entre Ríos in Buenos Aires José Ostrosky, the national deputy-elect of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay Omar Estévez, and the ambassador of the Republic of Nigeria Jonah Odo Mkpuruka were among the authorities present. Also present were South American boxing champions Leandro "Musculito" Blanc and Yanina "La Panterita" Lezcano, who were cheered by the stands when the official Carnival announcer, "Pelusa" Araya, mentioned them aloud over the microphone.
This Saturday, February 8th, Bella Samba, Emperatriz, Imperio, and Ráfaga paraded in that order, reaching the halfway point of the competition nights and heading toward the final three nights, which promise to be spectacular. As in previous nights, a large influx of tourists from Uruguay was noted, who came to Concordia to experience the Battle of the Passions. This was evidenced by the long queue at customs on the bridge over the Salto Grande dam, which was recorded at dusk this Saturday.
A C5N mobile unit was present conducting interviews that will be broadcast during the week on the capital city channel, and it was announced that next Saturday, February 15th, the Concordia Carnival will be broadcast live to the entire country on that television network, from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
