Within the framework of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial, paving and repaving works on Dr. Sauré street are being finalized, in the section between La Pampa street and Yuquerí boulevard.
In addition, changes are being made to the drinking water and sewage networks and connections. The investment, executed with own funds, exceeds 480 million pesos.
Mayor Francisco Azcué toured the site, where he first highlighted that “these works are carried out under controls and standards that we demand from the Municipality because we want what is done to last over time and for the taxpayer to see that the incoming resources are used in solid public policies”.
He also remarked that “the choice of these works does not arise without a basis. Here, numerous aspects are taken into account, such as the presence of educational establishments, the route of urban transport lines, among other issues. A circulation ring is being generated to which future interventions will be added, which are contemplated in the 2026 budget thanks to the efficiency in the administration of resources, the order and the financial stability we have achieved”.
For his part, the Secretary of Public Works, Fernando Esquibel, specified that “in these intervened sections, complementary works were carried out, such as changing connections in the water and sewage networks. This gives greater durability to the work since we avoid having to intervene in a short time due to an issue linked to household networks”.
“We are very satisfied with the product, it is a very good finish that we are reaching and with this we are taking care of every peso of the residents, making them yield 100%, adding to the urban fabric with a high rate of urbanization, connecting schools, clubs and bus lines”.
The works on Dr. Sauré street are divided into two sections: from La Pampa street to Paula Albarracín de Sarmiento, paving is being carried out, while from Paula Albarracín to Yuquerí boulevard, the structural package is being completely rebuilt. In this sector, the milling of the existing asphalt layer, the corresponding compaction, the construction of a soil-cement base and the placement of a hot asphalt carpet are being executed.
