Last Thursday, the Director of Citizen Participation of the Municipality of Concordia, José Vedoya, together with his technical team, held a meeting with residents of the Universidad neighborhood, with the objective of evaluating the feasibility of the project presented by the community within the framework of the Participatory Budget program.
During the meeting, the technical and operational aspects of the proposal promoted by the neighborhood's inhabitants were discussed, who shared their concerns, expectations, and the impact that the realization of the project would have on the improvement of their environment.
“The Participatory Budget is a tool that allows bringing the State closer to the neighborhoods and valuing the voice of each resident. In each meeting, we reaffirm that participation strengthens democracy and generates real solutions built from the territory,” highlighted José Vedoya, Director of Citizen Participation.
For his part, the program Coordinator, Sebastián Reinafe, valued the commitment of the residents: “We find organized communities, with clear ideas and a great willingness to work together. Our role is to accompany each stage of the process, guaranteeing transparency, technical viability, and compliance with what the citizenry prioritizes with their vote.”
The activity is part of a series of meetings that the Directorate of Citizen Participation is carrying out in different sectors of the city to accompany the planning, evaluation, and execution process of the projects selected by the citizenry.
From the Municipality, this public policy continues to be promoted as a space for dialogue and collective construction, reaffirming the commitment to an open, democratic management that is close to the community.
