The Decentralized Sanitary Works Entity (EDOS) recommends that the population make responsible use of water and avoid waste. Given the high temperatures and the natural increase in consumption, it is important that we avoid unnecessary use and waste. By collaborating and taking care of water, there is enough for everyone and we also protect the environment.
Recommendations
Some useful tips that we can implement in our homes to collaborate:
It is recommended to check for possible leaks in the faucets of our homes.
Turn off the faucets while we brush our teeth and use a glass of water to rinse our mouths and the brush.
Shave outside the shower, using a plug and filling the sink with the necessary water.
When washing fruits and vegetables, it is better to do it in a bowl. The water can be used to water the plants.
To wash dishes, it is not necessary to keep the faucet open.
Two buckets or two sinks can be used: in one, the dishes and utensils are soaked and soaped, and in the other, they are rinsed.
Use the washing machine always with a full load, with as little soap as possible and in short cycles.
The car can be washed with one or two buckets of water. If we do it with a hose, we use about 300 liters.
