This morning, the opening of bids for the public tender corresponding to the III stage of the Infrastructure and Development Plan towards the Bicentennial, carried out by the Municipality of Concordia with its own resources, took place.
With an official budget of nearly 1.9 billion pesos, Laprida Street will be paved between Italia and Sara Neira streets, and Mario Gatto street, between Laprida and Monseñor Tavella streets.
In the initial phase, the renovation of basic infrastructure networks will be carried out: replacement of drinking water pipes and the sewage collection network, including household connections. In addition, to ensure the system's operability, new gate valves and hydrants will be installed. Once these tasks are completed, a soil-cement base will be executed, followed by the final paving, as well as the reconstruction of the curb and gutter.
The Secretary of Public Works, Fernando Esquibel, explained that “we are maintaining a good pace in everything related to tenders: With this third stage, we are providing continuity to the entire plan that has been executed in various parts of the city, advancing at a good pace.”
“We are very satisfied that Concordia can advance and develop infrastructure, which is not only pavement, which is the final stage of what is seen, but also sewers, water connections, and storm drains. In each intervened sector, comprehensive work is previously done that guarantees the durability of the work,” remarked Esquibel.
Three bids were submitted for the tender call, belonging to the firms José Eleuterio Pitón S.A.; Piuterra S.A. and Vecchio S.R.L.
