The Carnival Entity, chaired by Sebastián Cuberli, met this Tuesday with the inspectors and representatives of the Imperio, Emperatriz, Ráfaga, and Bella Samba troupes, who were provided with the 2019 Competition Regulations, as well as the username and authorization for the new registration system for members.
In this regard, the General Coordinator of Competition, Yamila Segovia, commented that “the Carnival Entity wants to continue adding improvements, and this year we sought to implement a new system that allows the troupes to carry out a better registration process for their members.”
This system “is online and can be accessed from any computer. Through a username and password that was given to each troupe, everyone can access it whenever they want to upload member data. In the first instance, the upload will be enabled until December 23, and we will be working together with the troupes to monitor its implementation, if any problem arises, if more time is needed, and how the use of the system progresses,” commented Segovia.
In this sense, the Competition Coordinator for the 2019 edition specified that “the objective is to facilitate the participant registration process, make it more agile, as well as reduce costs and modernize the entire process.” The online system “was created by the Municipality's IT Department, which always has the best disposition to implement proposals that allow for the improvement of the entire administrative process,” she highlighted, and stressed that “in line with the work proposed by mayor Enrique Cresto, by being carried out by municipal staff, resources are saved” and “it demonstrates that the Municipality has the human and technical resources to carry out modernization proposals.”
Finally, Yamila Segovia commented that “throughout the month of November, medical check-ups will continue from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Carnival Entity, where a space was conditioned so that professionals from the Secretariat of Human Development and Health of the Municipality can provide this service free of charge to all Carnival members.”
For this, a schedule was organized by troupe, in order to be able to access this documentation, which is one of the necessary requirements for proper registration. It should be noted that the physical fitness certificate can be obtained privately, with this service being a cost-free alternative for the greater convenience of all.
