The delivery made this Friday was attended by the Secretary of Health, Mauro García, the President of the CONASED Foundation, Leticia Ponzinibbio, the First Vice President of the Deliberative Council, Claudia Villalba, the Director of Childhood, Adolescence and Family, Noelia Vargas, the Program Coordinator in the city, Norma Villagrán, and officials from the Health department.
Regarding the acquisition, Dr. Mauro García stated that “throughout all these years, in every health center, we have incorporated different types of equipment through the Sumar Plan and have advanced with a building improvement plan that was promoted by the mayor Enrique Cresto, who indicated to us that this should be one of the main objectives to be met in order to improve and strengthen the care provided in the Primary Health Care Centers”, he highlighted.
Adding that “it was a clear request from the mayor: to leave all health centers in the best conditions, so that everything that was done in this administration serves as the starting point for the next mayor”, he remarked.
As García pointed out, Concordia is the only city in the province and one of the few in the country where there are 20 primary health care spaces that depend on the municipality. The Directorate of Medical Specialties (formerly Municipal Public Assistance), the PROMAR, and the municipal health centers, in coordination with the hospitals and the provincial health system, form a network that covers the entire city and fulfills a very important role in strengthening the health system.
POLICIES OF A PRESENT STATE
The Sumar Program is a public policy that promotes equitable and quality access to health services for the entire population that does not have formal health coverage. The nominalization strategy of the Sumar Program allows for the care and monitoring of the population by the health system, detailing the services that make up their right to health, assigning them precise content and scope. In this way, for each person under the Program and for each consultation and check-up performed, the hospital or health center receives resources to strengthen the health team and improve the services provided to the entire community.
