Mayor Francisco Azcué participated in the Public Policy Management Course for Tourism of the Federal School of Development of the Federal Council of Investments (CFI). The activity brought together authorities and professionals from the sector from all over the country, who are visiting destinations in Entre Ríos to exchange experiences and strengthen public policies.
The initiative is part of the third edition of the CFI Tourism Management Training Program and takes place over three days in different parts of the province. In Concordia, both the authorities and the professionals carried out the activities at the Argentine Delegation of the Mixed Technical Commission of Salto Grande (CTM).
Azcué highlighted that “it is very gratifying for us to share this training instance and welcome you to Concordia because we are so proud of our land that we want to share it with the world and we want to tell you about our wealth”.
In that sense, the Mayor highlighted that both our city and the Salto Grande region “is a land that has it all, a great natural wealth, which is why we want it to be able to be a productive, thriving land again, a land of progress, and in that, tourism is a very important tool for us”.
“It is a land that once had it all and that today we are rebuilding. We are part of a project led by Governor Frigerio, an administration that is getting the province back on its feet, and obviously Concordia as well”.
Azcué gave the example of “our wineries and vineyards that are being recovered today, they are being reborn, and they are precisely recovered as a result of projects that start as tourism-related but go hand in hand with the private sector”, recalling that “last week we launched our Tourism Development Plan, in which we also included the National University of Entre Ríos because we are building a strategic plan with them for the tourism development of Concordia and also thinking about a regional perspective”.
Finally, the Mayor stated that “it is very important for us that we think together, that we work in an articulated way, that we share successful, positive experiences and also those that have not been so that we do not make those same mistakes”, stressing that “that is why we find it important that this event is held in this city”.
IDENTITY
For his part, the Provincial Secretary of Tourism Jorge Satto, when addressing those present, asked to “value this, to value all the tourist aspects and those of the Salto Grande Dam”.
After reviewing the sectors in which these sessions are implemented, he acknowledged that “it was not easy to choose some places that could synthesize everything that Entre Ríos represents in terms of its idiosyncrasy, its potential, and its tourism, basically because here you will find many things, you will find history, the origin of the national organization, and the melting pot of races that makes up our country”, highlighted the provincial secretary.
TOURISM AND PRODUCTION
Vice Mayor Magdalena Reta de Urquiza highlighted the initiative of the Federal Council of Investments, stating that “what it is doing is very important because the interior has a lot to give, a lot to show”.
For his part, the Secretary of Productive Development Federico Schattenhofer not only focused on tourism but also on production. Precisely, among the attractions that were visited during the course was the remodeled Concordia Airport: “It is another great hope that we have in terms of connecting not only the business and productive world but fundamentally also tourism, which has a lot to stand out in that sense”, he pointed out.
AS A TEAM
Laureano Schvartzman, Undersecretary of Tourism of Concordia, expressed that for the city “it is an honor to access this type of meeting where we receive public managers from all Argentine provinces to work together”, highlighting that “it is crucial that as public managers we work in a joint manner”.
The activity was accompanied by the Argentine delegate to CTM Juan Carlos Chagas, among other authorities.
