The Benito Legerén neighborhood experienced a festive and recreational day with the holding of the first Kermesse of the year, organized by the Secretariat of Human Development and the collaboration of different areas of the Municipality.
The meeting point was the “Con Alma de Pueblo” square where families were able to enjoy an afternoon with recreational, educational, cultural, and health activities.
The event was held with the objective of promoting community gathering, strengthening social ties, and bringing municipal resources closer to the residents of the neighborhood.
The Kermesse was developed with varied themes, among which the following stood out:
Sports: Games and competitions for children, youth, and older adults.
Educational: Workshops and talks on topics of community interest.
Cultural: Live music, dance performances, and local art exhibitions.
Thematic: Information on municipal services, highlighting the waste separation station in charge of the Undersecretariat of Environment.
Territorial agents and neighborhood transformation team: Didactic proposals oriented towards territorial work.
Health: Presence of a team specialized in Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), health support, and ambulance coverage on the premises.
“These types of actions reinforce the municipal commitment to inclusion, participation, and social development. The Kermesse not only offered a space for recreation, but also an opportunity for residents to access key information about municipal services and care spaces,” highlighted the Secretariat of Human Development.
The approach is the result of the joint work of the Secretariat of Human Development; Secretariat of Health; the Undersecretariats of Sports, Culture, Education and Social Development and Environment; Directorate of Events; Directorate of Childhood; Department of Youth and Department of Logistics and Light Vehicles.
This first edition of the year marks the beginning of a community agenda that will continue to bring inclusive proposals to different parts of the city.
