The Municipality of Concordia, through the Bromatology Directorate, reminds transporters and those responsible for establishments that the transport of food substances must be carried out under conditions that guarantee the safety and preservation of food, avoiding any risk of contamination or alteration.
The vehicles used for food transport must be in adequate conditions of hygiene, preservation, and maintenance, and be suitable for the type of product they are transporting.
During transport, it is required to:
- Keep food protected from any source of contamination.
- Avoid direct contact of food with the vehicle floor.
- Keep the vehicle clean, free of waste, odors, and elements unrelated to the cargo.
- Respect the temperature conditions required for each type of food.
- Avoid transporting food together with cleaning products, chemical substances, or other elements that may contaminate them.
- Keep food correctly conditioned and protected throughout the transport.
- Prevent products from remaining unnecessarily exposed to inadequate temperatures.
- Ensure that refrigerated or frozen foods maintain the corresponding cold chain.
Likewise, those responsible for transport must have the documentation and authorizations that correspond according to current regulations.
The Bromatology Directorate highlights that the safety of a food product does not depend solely on how it is prepared or marketed, but also on the conditions in which it is transported.
The objective is to prevent risks and ensure that food reaches the consumer in adequate conditions of safety and quality.
