Within the framework of the institutional strengthening process, the Municipality of Concordia continues to advance in the reorganization of its staff, with the objective of guaranteeing more efficient, transparent operation committed to providing quality services to the population.
In this sense, Mayor Francisco Azcué pointed out: “we have the clear decision as an administration to continue advancing in the continuous improvement of the administration, taking care of public resources in order to be able to channel them into the works and services that the residents need, while at the same time recognizing the personnel who strive, train, and work with responsibility every day”.
During the year 2024, a total of 17 dismissals were resolved, and 2 exonerations, of which 9 corresponded to agents involved in criminal offenses, including some deprived of their liberty whose summary investigation remained unresolved until the assumption of this new administration.
On the other hand, 10 of these cases were the consequence of repeated unjustified absences, including people who did not reside outside the city of Concordia, failing to comply with basic duties as public employees.
Likewise, there are 15 additional cases in which the Disciplinary Tribunal has already issued a ruling and which, shortly, after the administrative act is advanced, the recommended sanctions will be made effective.
In parallel, around 20 more administrative case files are being processed or are about to be initiated, all linked to serious causes such as repeated misconduct or situations of a criminal nature, which highlights the administration's commitment to maintaining a standard of ethics and responsibility for those who make up the municipal team.
It is worth mentioning that in the previous administration during the 2019-2023 period, only 4 dismissals were carried out, which speaks of a change on the part of the current administration, where misconduct by municipal employees is not tolerated and action is taken accordingly.
This task is part of a comprehensive reorganization policy, based on compliance with current regulations and oriented towards consolidating a professional State that is close to the residents.
Likewise, work has been underway on internal training in each of the areas to strengthen knowledge and provide tools to collaborators to improve their performance.
