With the objective of professionalizing local public management, the Training Program for Municipal Agents was launched in Concordia: Innovation in municipal management: communication, self-awareness, and conflict resolution, a joint initiative between the Municipal Coordination of Public Administration (CMAP) and the Special Unit for Strategic Projects (UEPE). The training path proposes to strengthen the capabilities of municipal personnel through tools focused on communication, self-awareness, and conflict resolution.
The launch took place at the “La Estación” coworking space and was aimed, in this first instance, at agents from the Traffic and Transport and General Inspection areas. The proposal, which will extend throughout the year, will progressively reach all areas of the municipality, with the purpose of improving labor relations and service to the citizenry.
“The goal is to work on our internal processes, deepen self-awareness, and reinforce the purpose of public service that guides us, always with the resident as our north,” expressed the Undersecretary of the UEPE, Lic. Leandro Garbarino, who also highlighted the support of the Government Secretariat in the implementation of the program.
For his part, the Director of Innovation and Knowledge Economy, Lic. Pedro Kohn, underscored the importance of transferring knowledge from the innovation area to the development of capabilities in municipal teams. “In this first instance, we addressed key soft skills such as communication and conflict management, which are fundamental for the daily work of the personnel,” he detailed.
The event was attended by Gerardo Maydana, coordinator of the CMAP, Beatriz Aurelia Lopez, Director of General Inspection; Emmanuel Galli, Director of Traffic and Transport, and Analia Ramos, area head in this same directorate. Also present were the program coordinator, Lic. and Prof. Diamantina Miño, and the trainers Lic. Florencia Kaplan and Lic. Ivonne Saleh.
