This function also includes the collection of late payment surcharges, interest, and corresponding accessories.
Functions:
-
Advice and notification: Inform and notify taxpayers about the judicial and extrajudicial status of their unpaid debts and credits. The aim is always to cause the least possible harm to the taxpayer or responsible party, adopting measures that tend to reduce judicial expenses and costs.
-
Payment agreements: Prepare debt payment agreements, which may be paid in a single installment or in installments. For this, the amount owed and the origin of the debt will be considered.
-
Distribution of tax forms: Distribute tax debt forms among the Municipality's external attorneys, which are prepared by the corresponding departments and/or by the Misdemeanors Court.
-
Supervision of attorneys: Supervise the work of external attorneys through the use of computer systems for tracking and controlling judicial management. Periodic reports on their performance may also be requested.
-
Performance evaluation: Periodically evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the Directorate, using objective criteria related to the quality of management, the level of favorable results, and the percentage of recovery obtained.
