Fiscal Year Results
Setting defined periods of activity is justified, among other reasons, by the need to measure the result achieved in each period. The result measures how net worth changed over a period as a consequence of that activity — that is, the flow of income, positive or negative, generated by the use of public assets during a fiscal year.
